Treatment duration:
When a food allergy or intolerance is suspected, the dog's diet should be modified without any transition period. Treatment with a hypoallergenic diet should be continued throughout the life of the dog and can be administered to both adult dogs and puppies.
The soy protein hydrolyzate extract, composed of low molecular weight peptides, is highly digestible and has very low allergenicity.
Eicosapentaenoic and docosahexaenoic acids, which are omega-3 long-chain fatty acids, modulate skin inflammatory reactions and participate in the integrity of the intestinal mucosa.
The very high amounts of biotin, niacin, and pantothenic acid, together with the zinc-linoleic acid complex, reduce transepidermal water loss and reinforce the skin's barrier effect.
The combination of fermentable fibers (beet pulp, FOS) with zeolite helps to balance the gastrointestinal microflora in addition to protecting the intestinal mucosa. This food does not contain gluten or lactose.
Additional Information:
Hypoallergenic Canine contains "Intensive Color", supplemented with L-tyrosine, for optimal skin pigmentation. Hypoallergenic Canine is recommended in cases of chronic pruritic dermatosis with an allergic component, including atopic dermatitis.
